Allianz Exec Tracy Ryan to Lead NCCI

• Tracy Ryan, who currently leads Allianz Commercial operations in the Americas, has been named as CEO of the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
• She will succeed Bill Donnell, NCCI’s current President and CEO, who is retiring in February 2025.
• Prior to Allianz, she also served in various leadership positions during her 27 years with Liberty Mutual Insurance, including most recently as President of Global Risk Solutions, North America.
• She is a member of the Casualty Actuarial Society and former board member for the Workers Compensation Research Institute and NCCI, where she served as board chair from 2016-2018.

Texas DWC Adopts Rules on Designated Doctors,  Lifetime Income Benefits

• The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation has adopted a rule on designated doctor procedures and requirements and lifetime income benefits.
• The move implements House Bill 2468.
• According to the agency notice, it received no oral comments at its June 25, 2024, public hearing, and three written comments on the rule by the July 1, 2024, deadline. The rule will be effective on November 21, 2024.
