
Insurers Question Need to Indemnify Homeowners After Caregiver Received WC Benefits
- LM General Insurance Company and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company have requested a declaration that there is no duty to indemnify two homeowners for injuries suffered by a children’s caregiver who fell on stairs in their home in June 2020.
- The caregiver, injured in the course of her employment, was awarded workers’ compensation benefits via the Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation Trust Fund and filed a separate personal injury lawsuit against the homeowners.
