
Person killed in chicken house collapse in Pa.
- One man is dead and seven others were taken to the hospital after a chicken barn collapsed in Adams County, Pa.
- Police said that 53-year-old Jose Rojas-Flores, of Harrisburg, Pa., was pronounced dead at the scene.
- Seven other people were removed from the collapse and taken to the hospital and there is no word on their conditions.
- It’s unclear exactly why the building collapsed, but it was vacant at the time of the incident.

Florida construction worker injured
- A construction worker in Orlando, Fla., fell approximately 15 feet from a scaffolding structure, landing on the second floor.
- A stokes basket and a ladder truck were used while the worker was being helped by firefighters and medical professionals.
- The worker had serious injuries from the incident but was alert while being airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
- His condition has not been released

Brooklyn fruit stand worker attacked
- A man with a screwdriver stabbed a worker stocking a storefront fruit stand in Brooklyn in an unprovoked assault.
- The suspect came up behind the worker and jabbed him with a wild overhand motion just before 1:30 p.m. near Fulton St. in Fort Greene,.
- The 33-year-old victim told police that he did not speak with the assailant before the attacker.
- The worker suffered a puncture wound to the shoulder but was not grievously injured, and the attacker is still at-large.

Several injured in Mississippi oil-field explosion
- An explosion at a Mississippi oilfield injured six workers and all were transported to local hospitals.
- The explosion happened while employees were working on an oil storage tank at around 8 a.m.
- The workers were severely burned and some had life-threatening wounds as they were doing maintenance on two new parts that held water from an oil well.
- Two were airlifted and four were taken by ambulance.
