Colorado Governor Eyes Pinnacol Spin-Off
- Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is again considering a proposal to spin-off Pinnacol Assurance as a private company.
- Pinnacol is the state’s quasi-governmental workers’ comp carrier of last resort.
- Privatizing the carrier could generate $400 million for the state.
- Polis floated the idea before, but it was not taken up by the Colorado Legislature.
